Hernando-Pasco Hospice (HPH) was recognized by Career Central on Thursday, May 8 as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Pasco and Hernando counties. HPH was among eight other companies in the “151 Employees” and over category to receive this prestigious honor.
The award is based on a detailed survey that ranks respondents in categories that include growth, turnover, training, benefits and profit-sharing. Category rankings were grouped and weighted according to importance in identifying the best places to work. HPH is honored to receive this distinction.
Since 2007, HPH has doubled its staff in its Pasco, Hernando and Citrus county service areas to better meet patient and family needs. The not-for-profit agency now employs close to 1,000 full-time, part-time and pool staff and is one of the top 10 employers in Pasco County. HPH has seven team offices, five Hospice Care Centers, four Hospice Houses, a home health agency called HPH Homecare and its own pharmacy and durable medical equipment company.
Initially licensed in 1984, HPH provides care, comfort and support to more than 1,000 individuals on an average daily basis who are affected by a life-limiting illness regardless of their ability to pay.
